Coach has named artist and rapper Youngji Lee as their newest global ambassador, making her the first to hail from Korea. She will be featuring in Coach’s upcoming Fall 2023 campaign to kickstart the partnership.
Youngji Lee is a rapper and internet personality, having starred in multiple television shows, including one of the most highly viewed television game shows, ‘Earth Arcade’ alongside IVE’s Ahn Yujin, Oh My Girl’s Mimi and comedian Lee Eun-ji. You may also recognise her from her very own talkshow ‘No Prepare’, which has amassed views in the millions with A-list guests like BTS’s Jin and Blackpink’s Jisoo.
“I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for Coach, a brand that I enjoy wearing and that inspires me,” said Youngji Lee. “I can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on together and excited to continue to share my story as part of our collaborations.”
You’ll be surprised to know that this isn’t the first time the twenty-one year old has made history. She was the youngest and first female winner of the reality TV series ‘High School Rapper’, and was also the first female rapper in eleven seasons to win ‘Show Me the Money’, South Korea’s most popular hip-hop reality competition show.
There’s no denying that Youngji fits the bill for Coach, which encourages embracing all aspects of oneself with confidence. But being Coach’s newest global ambassador isn’t the only thing that Youngji has going for her. The rapper will also be embarking on her first Asia tour starting on the 27 of September. So far, the countries she has confirmed are Taipei and Singapore.
