Want to be the next Blackpink or Treasure? Your chance might just have arrived.
K-pop entertainment agency YG Entertainment will be holding auditions in Singapore in November.
Home to acclaimed and established K-pop acts like Blackpink, Treasure, AKMU (Akdong Musician), YG Entertainment is heading to Singapore to scout their next potential superstars.
The South Korean agency will be holding global auditions across different cities, including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in search of fresh talent to join their line-up of big names. The global hunt will see YG Entertainment scour across the globe for new additions.
Cut-throat K-pop auditions
Avid fans of K-pop, especially those who have been watching the industry closely since the early days, would know that these auditions are cut-throat. And only the cream of the crop will rise through the ranks.
Even after the auditions, trainees may face regular assessments that seek to check on their progress as they undergo training.
When the trainee eventually completes everything, they may then morph to become the next Jisoo, Lisa, Jennie or Lisa. Case in point: Lisa was the only one who passed YG Entertainment’s audition held in Thailand back in 2010. And now the world’s her stage.
The upcoming audition
The upcoming auditions in Singapore will take place from 14-16 Nov at Level 10 of the Orchard Central Mall.
There are four categories that applications can audition for. These categories include vocal, rap, dance, or appearance. If you’re someone born between 2004 and 2012, here’s your chance to represent Singapore in the K-pop scene.
Pre-applications are now open. Apply before 5 Nov and wait for a confirmation email with your allocated audition time slot. Parental consent is required if you are 14 years old and under. Register now for your shot to debut and perform on the stages your favourites stand on.
