After watching from the wings—read: the exclusive VIP tent alongside girl squad members Sophie Turner, Nicola Coughlan, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Andrew Scott and Gabriella Brooks—Travis Kelce made a surprise on-stage appearance on the third night of Taylor Swift’s London leg of the ‘Eras Tour’.
Swift performed for a consecutive weekend at Wembley Stadium, offering surprise mash-ups featuring her reported Kim Kardashian diss track “ThanK you aIMee” and “The Black Dog”. (The latter is a single off her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, and inspired by a pub south of the Thames which Joe Alwyn vehemently denies ever visiting.)
However, the most unexpected moment of the tour came when the Kansas City Chiefs Tight End donned a tuxedo, black tailcoat and tophat to perform the intro to “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart”. As expected, fans raised the noise levels in the arena by several decibels while watching Kelce literally sweep Swift off her feet.
Thankfully for those not in the English capital, dedicated fan accounts have diligently chronicled the choreography and shared it across social media for our viewing pleasure. You can watch their performance below.

Of course, this isn’t Swift’s first time acknowledging Kelce in her set. Swift famously changes the lyrics of her Midnights single “Karma” to sing “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs / Coming straight home to me” whenever Kelce watches from the stands. She began this routine in November 2023 at a show in Buenos Aires and has continued it at each show he attends, including her Sydney stop earlier in the year.
Nevertheless, it’s safe to say that Swift’s stint in London has been a career milestone for the songstress. Who else can say they took selfies with the future of the monarchy on the first night of their residence?
As you might’ve seen already, Swift took pictures with Prince William and two of his three children, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, in celebration of his 42nd birthday.
The trio weren’t joined by Kate Middleton or Prince Louis, with netizens citing the petit Prince’s dance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace for Trooping the Colour worthy of a seat at Swift’s upcoming concerts. Swift has briefly said “so long” to London, with the musician returning to Wembley for an additional five nights in August.
