Nanon Korapat, known simply as Nanon to his fans, is best known for his roles in the Thai BL series Bad Buddy and the romance drama My Precious, now streaming on Netflix. He also sings: following the release of his debut album last year, Nanon has gone on tour, bringing his solo concert, Born to Beo, to cities like Hong Kong, Tokyo and Taipei. This month, the Thai star made a stop in Singapore for something else entirely: to celebrate the opening of the Coach Tabby Shop at the refreshed Coach Play Shophouse.
At the event, Nanon, a friend of the American fashion brand, rubbed shoulders with Singaporean style stars like Sonia Chew and Mae Tan. He had a full tour of the fun spaces in the shophouse, including the popular Coach Cafe; the new Coachtopia Room that showcased a rainbow of bags, accessories and clothes that have been upcycled and “upcrafted”, as the brand calls it; and the vibrant yellow Coach Tabby Shop, featuring quilted versions of the beloved bag that have been specially introduced for Spring/Summer 2024.
Before his visit to the Coach Play Shophouse, Nanon had spent the whole day doing interviews—without drinking a single cup of coffee. Instead, when GRAZIA Singapore caught up with him, he revealed to us that his go-to order from the nearby Coach Play Shophouse was, simply, a milkshake. Below, find out what else we learned about the 23-year-old star.
Which is your favourite section of the Coach Play Shophouse?
Nanon Korapat (NK): I like the new Coachtopia Room because the bags and clothes there are upcycled and “upcrafted”.
How would you describe your style?
NK: Comfortable, stylish and relaxed.
What are your style tips for getting dressed for a coffee date?
NK: I would wear something that looks a little formal, like a long-sleeved white shirt and slacks. I would also add something with prints.
How would you spend a day in Singapore if you could do anything you wanted?
NK: I would like to go to Universal Studios Singapore to walk around—but not ride anything. No roller coasters [laughs]. I’m scared of heights. But I would like to watch the rides, walk around and buy something to eat.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
NK: I like to sing old-school songs from the 1990s and the 2000s. Songs like Baby by Justin Bieber, Come and Get Your Love, Cherry Bomb, and Hotel California. Hotel California is a must in karaoke. I also like newer songs, or “wild” songs that I can scream along to, together with my friends [laughs].
