Adding another talent to her repertoire, Blackpink’s Lisa will make her screen debut soon. She will be part of the cast of HBO’s original series The White Lotus in their upcoming third season.
The White Lotus is an American dark comedy-drama anthology television series that follows the interactions of guests and employees at a resort.
According to media reports released yesterday (13 February), Lisa will be joining the likes of Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Tayme Thapthimthong in the third season of the series.
Variety exclusively reported that she will be credited under her full name, Lalisa Manobal. Despite the announcement of the cast, their roles have not been officially announced.
Awarded 15 Primetime Emmy awards and two Golden Globe awards, creator Mike White is teasing a “supersized” season. White revealed that the new season might revolve around the concept of “Eastern versus Western religion, or Western people in an Eastern culture.”
The third season will begin production in February, in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, Thailand. HBO is reportedly working with the Tourism Authority of Thailand for the filming and promotion of the show.
Following her role in The White Lotus, Lisa will be the second member of Blackpink to star in an HBO series. Bandmate Jennie was the first, with her role in The Idol (2023).
Separately, Lisa recently announced the establishment of her agency, Lloud earlier this month. The agency will likely be managing her individual activities, such as her involvement in The White Lotus.
