This might be the triple crossover in K-pop that no one saw coming. Fans can gear up for thrice the girl power this month as (G)I-DLE, aespa and IVE just announced a special collaboration. Titled Nobody, the new song drops on 16 Nov, 6 PM KST (5 PM SGT).
The teaser trailer opens by introducing each of the popular girl groups with a specific vivid colour, perhaps hinting at a fun and vibrant concept.
There is much to look forward to in this upcoming release as the project combines three of the hottest 4th generation girl groups. Nobody will mark a monumental moment and a historic collaboration. It is in partnership with the 2030 Busan Expo, per Herald Pop.
One member from each girl group will join forces for this track. They will be unveiled sequentially over the next few days on M:USB’s official YouTube channel and social platforms.
On this historic project, the producer said that “the participating artists, composers, lyricists and staff members all represent K-pop”. Hence “it will be a special gift for global music fans,” he added.
Singer-songwriter El Capitxn of Bighit Music and lyricist Seo Ji-eum are among the brains behind this creation. Seo’s past works include Twinkle (2012) by Girls’ Generation – TTS and FX’s Electric Shock (2012). The making of the track also involves other famous Korean and foreign composers.
Talented songwriters and top artists have come together for this number, which will set a new record for K-pop. With this epic joint venture, they hope to host the 2030 Busan World Expo.
