2½ years into their debut, all four of Aespa members now have their individual official Instagram handles. The girl group, composed of Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning, opened their accounts yesterday (22 May).
The quartet recently made their comeback with the release of their third EP My World (2023) earlier the month. It was fronted by the title track Spicy (2023).
HallyuSG takes you through each member’s handle and what they shared for their first Instagram post.
1. Karina (@katarinabluu)
Born Yoo Ji-min, Karina, aespa’s main dancer chose @katarinabluu for her Instagram handle. But her original username was @_ri__na____. She later changed it to @rinaakarinaa_, before deciding on her present username.
Her first post showed a monochromatic shot of all four Aespa members.
Karina now has 2.2 million followers.
2. Giselle (@aerichandesu)
Japanese-Korean Aeri Uchinaga, better known as Giselle, chose @aerichandesu for her Instagram handle. In her biography field on Instagram, she wrote: “giselle aka aerichan aka えりちゃん” — so fans can easily identify her.
Giselle currently has got 1.8 million followers on the social media platform.
3. Winter (@lm__winter)
Aespa’s lead vocalist, Kim Min-jeong, or Winter, chose @lm__winter for her username.
Winter is currently the only member of aespa that has not attached a profile photo to her Instagram handle.
For her first post, she also posted a photo with all four members, similar to Giselle. Winter now has 1.9 million followers.
4. Ningning (@imnotningning)
Last but definitely not the least, member Ningning, born Ning Yi-zhuo, set her Instagram username as @imnotningning.
And she’s ready to tell the world that she’s now on Instagram. “Its NINGNING here😈,” she wrote in the caption.
Ningning now has 1.8 million followers on Instagram.
