Meet GRAZIA’s 2025 Bright Young Things
Singapore’s next wave of musicians is not just playing the game, they’re rewriting the score. Bold, genre-blurring and unapologetically themselves, this year’s Bright Young Things are changing the way we hear—and feel—music. Together, these six musicians represent the pulse of a generation: Regina Song, Joyy, Layyi, Estelle Fly, Jasmine Sokko, and Jean Seizure.

ESTELLE FLY

Estelle Fly first made her mark as a member of Japanese idol group Sea*A, performing on major stages across Japan and sharing line-ups with the likes of Red Velvet, LiSA, Babymetal and Tokyo Girls’ Style. Since breaking away to pursue a solo career, she has carved out a vibrant path as a singer, content creator and actress—releasing original music infused with pop and R&B, starring in local dramas like Emerald Hill High, and hosting shows such as MTV Asia.

LAYYI

With her signature fusion of R&B and pop, Layyi is fast becoming one of Singapore’s most compelling new voices. The independent singer-songwriter debuted in 2021 with Hey Love—a quiet anthem of empowerment and solace. Just four years later, the now 29-year-old has amassed nearly 2 million Spotify streams with her raw, unfiltered sound.

JEAN SEIZURE

Born to veteran ’70s Mando-pop singers, Jean Seizure was practically raised onstage. They made their first foray into entertainment at just five years old, appearing in numerous Mediacorp productions as a child actor. But it wasn’t until 2017 that Jean officially stepped into the music spotlight with their debut single We’ll Be Okay. Nearly a decade later, the singer-songwriter has become one of Southeast Asia’s most recognisable voices in contemporary music—earning a coveted feature on New York’s iconic Times Square billboards.

JOYY

Joy Yong has lived with music for as long as she can remember. Classically trained from a young age and dancing since the age of four, performance came naturally to her. Describing herself as a “violinist who dances and sings,” Yong has shared the stage with icons like Stefanie Sun and Angela Zhang. Now performing under the stage name Joyy, the singer-songwriter is crafting a signature sound as multifaceted as her artistry.

JASMINE SOKKO

Masked musicians often inspire intrigue—and in Jasmine Sokko’s case, discovering the woman behind the mask only makes her more fascinating. The 29-year-old musician first made waves in 2016 with her self-released viral single 1057. For nearly a decade, the self-taught producer has built a bold sonic and visual universe, defined by her unique electronic sound and futuristic aesthetic—and the rest of the world has taken notice.

REGINA SONG

At just 20, Regina Song is already living the dream she once fundraised for as a teen. The Singaporean singer-songwriter began writing music at 16—juggling school, part-time jobs and production costs—before debuting with LUCAS in 2021. A classically trained pianist with a love for storytelling, she’s since captured hearts with her candid lyrics and airy vocals.
