After celebrities wore many iterations of some of Karl Lagerfeld’s most memorable designs for Chanel at the 2023 Met Gala last Monday, the Parisian fashion house touched down in Hollywood and delivered even more star power.
To show its Cruise 2024 collection the brand drew an especially A-list crowd at the Paramount Studios lot on Tuesday evening. Famous friends of the brand from Margot Robbie, Kristen Stewart, Sofia Richie Grainge and Paris Hilton all sat front row to view the collection filled with summery, Barbiecore looks.
Robbie arrived in the ultimate California-chic ensemble, in a black triangle bra top, retro flared blue jeans and a gold chain vest. The Barbie actress styled her blonde hair in glossy waves and carried a black quilted leather Chanel top-handle bag.
After wearing three Chanel dresses during her wedding to Elliot Grainge last month, Sofia Richie Grainge wore another gorgeous white look at the show. She chose a white tweed Chanel blazer jacket featuring a light pink feathered trim over a matching white mini slip dress with lace trim. The newlywed accessorised with pink drop interlocking “C” earrings from the brand, a pink bedazzled Chanel mini purse and black-and-white T-strap heels.
It doesn’t get more LA than native Paris Hilton, who made a case for monochromatic baby pink with her look at the show. The heiress and entrepreneur wore a knit mini dress with a matching pale pink cardigan, teamed with a coordinating tweed Chanel purse, layers of Chanel pearl necklaces and a baby pink bow in her wavy platinum tresses.
The crowd featured many more famous faces including Marion Cotillard, Halsey, Tracee Ellis Ross, Chloë Sevigny, Elle Fanning, Natalia Bryant, Daisy Jones and theSix actresses Riley Keough and Camila Morrone and mother-daughter duo Leslie Mann and Iris Apatow. They all enjoyed a post-show performance from none other than native Angeleno Snoop Dogg.
Ahead of the presentation, movie billboards cropped up around Tinseltown, promoting the presentation as a “One Night Only” occasion. Creative director Virginie Viard’s playful and au courant spin on the runway show took place just a week after the house opened its largest store in the U.S. on Rodeo Drive. Further cementing its Hollywood connections, Chanel will always be a fan-favourite amongst L.A.’s most elite. See what every A-list attendee wore, below.
