Coach is going beyond its retail roots. Last week, the American luxury fashion house opened its doors to The Coach Restaurant—the first-ever in the world, might we add—in Jakarta, Indonesia. Marking the brand’s first foray into the hospitality space, the Coach Restaurant and the adjacent Coach Coffee Shop were drawn up to enrich the Coach way of life. This won’t be the last you hear of Coach’s hospitality endeavours—the brand is planning to unveil a series of dining spaces this year and beyond.
In an effort to create a more comprehensive luxury experience that pays homage to Coach’s origins, The Coach Restaurant transported celebrity guests and friends of the house to the true-blue New York space during its grand opening on 1 March 2024. Guests from around the region made special appearances in Jakarta to celebrate the brand’s first F&B venture. The guest of honour of the night was Kang Min-hyuk, the South Korean actor and musician best known for his part in K-pop boy band CNBLUE. Also invited to grace the event while sporting Coach‘s bags were regional celebrities such as Luna Maya, Chelsea Islan and Blue Pongtiwat.
