It looks like Blackpink’s Lisa has as much fun dressing up for concerts as the rest of us. The K-pop star was in Singapore on 3 March to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concert at the National Stadium, and like every other Swiftie in attendance, she made a bold statement through her concert outfit.
Lisa wore an all-black ensemble that included a bralette and a Maison Margiela mesh bodysuit, hopping onto the sheer fashion trend that we’ve been seeing on the runways. (Just a few days ago, fellow Blackpink member Rosé attended the Saint Laurent fashion show in Paris wearing a similarly see-through dress.)
Lisa styled her top with an equally punkish leather skirt from Dion Lee, which featured zip detailing all over it. Her choice of shoes was edgy too: the star sported a pair of Celine’s Margaret Chelsea boots in black leather, reminding us of her affiliation to the French fashion brand.
If we’d have to guess, we’d say that Lisa was channelling the darker look of Swift’s Reputation era in 2017 and 2018, which Swift famously described as a “goth-punk moment”. When promoting her album, the American pop star ditched her good-girl image and wore outfits that were mostly in black, opting for bold leather pieces, fishnet tights and accessories with a snake motif.
Lisa didn’t make such a drastic transformation. At Swift’s concert in Singapore, the bubbly Blackpink member softened her look with a comfy black hoodie. She also accessorised with Louis Vuitton’s Sunset handbag in monogram denim canvas, as well as stacks of colourful friendship bracelets. The latter are a staple accessory for Taylor Swift fans, who have been making their own beaded bracelets and swapping them at Swift’s concerts for the Eras Tour.
Swift wasn’t the only music star that Lisa was in town to see. On 2 March, she also showed her support for fellow K-pop stars SHINee, who performed at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for their SHINee World VI: Perfect Illumination tour. At that concert, fans were dressed in shades of blue—a nod to the South Korean boyband’s signature colour, “Pearl Aqua”. A fangirl herself, Lisa attended the concert wearing a casual striped blue shirt and blue jeans. She fit right in as she posed for a photo with SHINee members Minho, Key and Taemin before their performance.
Lisa’s stylish concert outfits tell us one thing: whether she’s on the stage or off of it, the Blackpink member knows how to make a sartorial statement.
