Blackpink’s Lisa has found a surefire way to stand out in a sports arena: by wearing a glittering gold Loewe catsuit. The location was the Accor Arena in Paris, and the occasion was Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes 2024, a fundraising concert where Lisa and several music stars performed over the weekend.
Lisa’s dazzling catsuit was a custom look created by Loewe designer Jonathan Anderson. Breaking from the typical black and pink pieces that she wears with her fellow K-pop group members, Lisa’s ensemble was embellished all over with golden crystals and came with boots to match. It also featured flesh-toned panels that created the illusion of a bralette. Adding a futuristic touch to her look, Lisa also accessorised with a sculpted, metallic Obi belt.
Lisa wore her custom Loewe look as she took to the stage to perform her solo singles, Lalisa and Money. The K-pop star gave an energetic performance throughout her concert; she executed her dance moves with the freedom offered to her by her catsuit, which fit like second skin. Later in the concert, she threw over an equally sleek black patent leather coat, fresh off of Parisian label Egonlab’s Fall/Winter 2024 menswear collection.
With her glitzy get-up, Lisa joins a league of music stars who have recently tapped on Loewe to create statement bespoke pieces for the stage. With its sparkle and trompe l’oeil touches, Lisa’s look resembles Beyoncé’s crystal-embellished “hands” bodysuit for her Renaissance Tour last year. And Lisa’s belt adds shine in the same way that Rihanna’s sculpted leather corset did to her red Super Bowl 2023 outfit.
Those two famous celebrity looks were one of many that put Loewe in the spotlight last year and led it to the top of The Lyst Index, a ranking of luxury fashion brands. It’s no wonder why Lisa, a Celine ambassador, chose the Spanish luxury house to dress her for one of the most significant performances of her K-pop career. She’s dressing the part of a superstar, much like Rihanna, who attended Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes. In fact, the two even snapped a photo together. Who knows? Lisa might just follow Bad Gal Riri’s footsteps and make even bolder fashion choices this year.
