At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, PYAR is LOVE‘s founder and creative director Nazneen Aziz (@nazneenaziz) shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Light Revealer SPF25 UVB/UVA/PA+++ ($86). I’ve been using the 3N1 Sand shade for years now.
I love how light it is which makes it suitable for our hot and humid weather and the natural glow it gives my skin.
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was icing my face but I’m not sure if that counts as I picked that up in my 20s. I love icing my face, especially around the eyes to reduce puffiness. It’s refreshing!
I did see a video recently for the Beauty By Earth Ice Roller ($22.34) which I bought and use when I have more time but I go back to the good ol’ “ice in a napkin” method most mornings.
The last beauty product I bought was the Marc Anthony Argan Oil of Morocco Conditioning Treatment ($5.70). I use a tiny bit after shampoo and it leaves my hair easier to comb through while maintaining my natural waves—it’s becoming my new favourite.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was of Lilith in Frasier, the ’90s sitcom which I’m currently rewatching and am on Season 4. She is stunning in her silk blouses with her hair down and tied back too.
The last beauty product I bought again was The Inkey List’s Peptide Moisturizer ($27) and love that it comes at an amazing price. I use it in the morning and before bed and it’s the best product recommendation from a friend.
My skin can be on the dry side and after this wonderful discovery, my face feels hydrated and smoother to the touch.
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was a Balinese Aromatherapy 90 min Massage with Facial at the spa in the Bali accommodation I was staying at from my last trip. It was absolute bliss.
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was also the last beauty product I bought again—The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer and I’ll probably be buying this one again and again.
The last beauty product I gifted someone was Chanel Beauty’s Rouge Coco Flash Lipstick ($62). I gifted this to a friend with lighter hair in the shade 162 Sunbeam; the name suits her personality. It comes beautifully gift wrapped too.
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was Oaken Lab fragrances. I sampled a few at their store in Pererenan, Bali and I’m in love with the Conservatory, Plein Air and Before Moonrise (IDR849,000 for 50ml, about SGD73) perfumes. It’s on my to-buy list.
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was to hand carry your make up essentials (and earrings) when travelling just in case your luggage gets lost!
