At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, Marketing Communications Professional and Content Creator Roanna Tan (@paradeoflove) shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. It has been my holy grail base makeup for years because it’s super lightweight and gives great coverage. Recently I’ve learnt that they’ve just discontinued it! Dior, bring it back soon!
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was skin flooding because I have very dehydrated skin. Basically, it’s to mist the skin in between skincare steps (i.e. toner > serum > cream) to drench the skin with moisture. It’s not a new trend though it’s given a fancy name now.
The last beauty product I bought was the KVD Good Apple Full-Coverage Transfer-Proof Vegan Serum Foundation ($65) because I was searching for base makeup that is transfer-proof.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was this girl on TikTok doing her makeup for Coldplay’s concert, and here’s what I recreated for my Coldplay concert get-up.
The last beauty product I bought again was the Dior Beauty Addict Lip Glow in 000 Universal Clear ($59). I’ve repeatedly purchased this lip balm because it gives me the hydration my lips need, without the oily sticky feel.
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was the Jo Malone Sea Salt & Wood Sage Cologne ($245 for 100ml). Does this count? I like to spritz it as the last step of my beauty routine before heading out and the scent makes me feel powerful and beautiful so… I guess it does!
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was the Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream Moisturiser ($78). It nourishes my skin, leaving it soft and radiant overnight, and smells divine.
The last beauty product I gifted someone was the Shiseido Vital Perfection Uplifting and Firming Advanced Cream ($185) because my fiancé fell in love with it after trying a sample. We love the silky texture and the mild citrus scent that lifts the mood every time you apply.
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was the Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil ($21). It removes makeup thoroughly—even my stubborn waterproof eyeliner and mascara—and leaves my skin soft and smooth!
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was different blush styles to accentuate your features for different looks here in this quick reel. How you apply your blush can change your look entirely, so choose the placement and technique that best suits you!
