At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, Kat Zhang (@katzhangmua), the founder and creative director of The Suburbs Studio shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the Glow Recipe Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm ($52).
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun Sunscreen ($18.35), and I must say, I love its lightweight texture.
The last beauty product I bought was the Lavien Pure Vita Toning Ampoule ($188).
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was healthy and juicy lips as seen on Pinterest.
The last beauty product I bought again was the Dior Beauty Diorsnow Ultimate UV Shield Skin-Breathable Brightening Emulsion SPF50+ PA++++ ($99).
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was a spa facial and body massage at AURIGA Spa at Capella Singapore. I went with my girlfriends as a treat to ourselves.
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was Dior Beauty’s Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil ($59). No matter how many dupes are in the market, no other products come close to this for its performance: the tint, nourishment to the lips, and of course, its beautiful texture that shows especially on camera.
The last beauty product I gifted someone was the Shu Uemura Ultime8∞ Sublime Beauty Cleansing Oil ($180). My life coach told me that he often breaks out after putting on makeup for shoots. So, this week we are having a week-long shoot for his next product, and I want to make sure that his face is well cleansed.
It’s a brainless easy-to-use product for people who are not big on their cleansing routine.
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was OLE HENRIKSEN’s Strength HydraBarrier Nourishing Face Oil ($85). I was in Japan this January; it was winter, and the air was super dry. This product saved my skin from cracking.
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was using a toning pad as a quick mask before applying makeup on lazy days or for last-minute rescues. It always works for all skin types. I love using the Jung Beauty Hydra-Barrier Toner ($66) and the Jung Beauty Pure Calming Pad ($18) for this.
