At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.

Here, Doctor Rachel Ho (@drrachelho) of La Clinic lists down some of her lasts.

The last beauty product I finished was Decorté’s Sun Shelter Sunscreen ($42). It’s a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 50 and PA ++++ protection that’s lightweight and leaves a cosmetically elegant finish.

It doesn’t pill with my skincare, and I like using it daily.

The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was the KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Multi-Balm. I got swayed by the K-drama and TikTok videos, so I bought it.

It was a waxy mess that did nothing for my skin and left it greasy and sticky at the same time.

The last beauty product I bought was Dior Addict’s Lip Glow 031 in Strawberry ($59). I use coloured lip balms a lot to keep my lips from drying out, especially in the clinic.

The colour is flattering, and I’m a fan of Jisoo’s style.

The last beauty product I bought again was tretinoin. It contains retinoic acid, and it reduces acne and signs of ageing like dark spots and fine wrinkles.

It’s definitely made my skin smoother and clearer looking.

The last beauty product I made a holy grail was Suqqu’s Multi Skin Protector Sunscreen (£40.00).  It dries to a weightless finish and leaves a beautiful, radiant finish.

Best sunscreen in my books and I hardly budge on holy grails.

The last beauty product I gifted someone was Dior Addict Lip Glow 031 in Strawberry where I shared the love with my friends.

The last beauty product that truly impressed me was the K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask (US$75). It’s a bond builder that repairs bonds in the hair that has been broken by heat and chemicals.

After using this consistently, I found that my hair was smoother, less brittle and healthier looking.

The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was Profhilo. It’s an injectable moisturizer that replenishes hyaluronic acid in the skin and boosts the skin’s collagen and elastin production.

My skin always feels smoother, plumper, brighter; and more pores look visibly smaller.

The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was Michelle Yeoh. I was admiring how beautiful, fit and toned she looked at her recent events.

Her commitment to her craft, historical Oscar win, and other acting accolades aside, she comes across as an intelligent, kind and down-to-earth lady that’s beautiful inside and out. based on the interviews I’ve seen.

The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was less is more with skincare.  Using minimal skincare products with an ingredient-directed approach helps to simplify one’s skincare routine and also, helps one reap the maximum benefit without layering unnecessary skincare products.

Using excessive skincare products can cause problems such as occlusion or pilling.
