At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, content creator Zafirah Zakaria (@zaffy14) shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was ést.lab’s ActivCalm Gentle Hydrating Cleanser Mousse ($52) that comes with a deep cleansing brush head. I love it because the gentle silicone brush deep cleanses my face and the product comes with a cover too for hygiene which not many other cleansers have.
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was the Korean 10-step skincare routine six years ago and I actually loved the results! But for now, I keep the steps of my skincare routine minimal with a focus on the products themselves. More steps don’t mean better skin!
The last beauty product I bought was from Vedix, an Ayurvedic hair treatment brand from India. I don’t share this but I am a hair care product freak who loves to try hair serums, hair oil, etc.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was one I found after searching “Glass Skin” on Pinterest and there you go! Out of all the images, I chose one clean look to put on my 2024 vision board.
The last beauty product I bought again was the Sigi Skin Idyllic Fields Daytime Moisturiser ($82). I don’t know how many bottles I have used but it may be more than 20 since it’s been my staple moisturiser since 2021!
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was a facial at the Caudalie Spa in Hong Kong. Oh my god, it felt so luxurious, I felt like I wanted to stay there all day as the facial came with an upper back massage too!
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial ($64)! It’s the best clay mask if you don’t have time to use any exfoliating serums or do your whole routine. You can apply it on your skin for about three minutes before a shower, and wash it off to your skin feeling very smooth. Try it!
The last beauty product I gifted someone was from Innisfree’s Cica Retinol range and to my bff because she has sensitive skin. Innisfree has the best retinol products for people who have sensitive skin but want to introduce retinol in their routine.
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was the Ultra Violette Queen Screen SPF 50+ Luminising Serum Skinscreen ($55) which is hands down my latest favourite sunscreen. I have tried only one sunscreen from the brand (they have so many!) but fell in love with it since I love the glowy, glassy skin look. This product definitely does that.
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was to use a lip mask as a lip balm if they have dry lips. Personally, I love to use the Grande Cosmetics GrandePOUT Plumping Lip Mask ($41.50) every day and bring it everywhere to keep my lips soft! Another holy grail!
