We’re back with some fun beauty inspiration for you this week, from Sabrina Carpenter’s birthday bash glam to Jennie’s braided hairstyle that she wore in Tokyo. Here are the major beauty moments you missed over the weekend, that we can’t get enough of.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Birthday Glam
Guess who turned 25 over the weekend? It was none other than Sabrina Carpenter, the Internet’s latest pop fixation, especially after debuting her catchy track Espresso just a few weeks ago. The Disney personality-turned-singer showed up to her birthday party over the weekend in a yellow dress (very How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days-coded) and a very blushed look. In addition to the heavy blush, Sabrina topped off her birthday glam with an irresistible lip combo.
Prim’s Take On The Extra Blushed Makeup
If Sabrina Carpenter’s makeup look was too intense for your everyday makeup look, learn a thing or two from Thai actor Prim Chanikarn. In a series of snaps with fellow actor Win Metawin, the 20-year-old rocks the extra-blushed look her way. Applying the blush directly underneath the eyes, and towards the sides ensures that the face doesn’t appear too elongated, which is perfect for Prim’s oval face.
Mamamoo’s Solar’s Headpiece
If you want to look like a goddess, take a cue from Mamamoo’s Solar. The singer, who is embarking on her Colours tour later this year, just announced her upcoming tour cities with a new look. The Honey singer opted for understated glam, which she completed with little facial gems and rhinestones, as well as a headpiece to add to that ethereal glam. According to Solar, there’s no such thing as too much bling. When the bling looks this good, can’t say we disagree.
Jennie’s Braided Hairstyle
While in Tokyo, the fashion world’s favourite it-girl, aka Jennie Kim from K-pop quartet Blackpink, showed us a new hairstyle that she’s been loving. Borrowing from the cutesy school-girl aesthetic, the performer and fashion savant rocked her signature long hair in a neat, braided look. Splitting her thick hair into two large sections, Jennie wore her hair in pigtails, and kept her fringe flat for a more sleek appearance.
Blue Lips
You’ve heard of the perfect red lip, but now, we’re introducing you to the frosty blue pout. Learn how to ace unconventional lip looks with London-based makeup artist and creator @makeupbychelseax, who is a pro at keeping each makeup look balanced. To match the lavender-toned blush, Chelsea lined her lips with a dark blue liner, before blending towards the middle with a pastel sky shade. And of course, no lip look is complete without a layer of gloss.
