Margot Robbie shut down another red carpet, this time at the SAG Awards in Los Angeles on February 24, as she dove into the Schiaparelli vault to find a black couture mini with a bubblegum pink sculptural train that elegantly pooled on the carpet. A very Barbenheimer colour-way, indeed.
Interestingly, although the gown was included in the house’s Fall 2020 collection, it was never actually made. You may remember designer Daniel Roseberry presented the collection as watercolour sketches at the time due to production limitations surrounding the global lockdowns.
Today, however, we’re zeroing in on the 33-year-old Barbie star’s manicure. Perfected by LA-based Chanel nail artist Betina Goldstein, the shade was inspired by the vintage Barbie jelly shoes that we used to play with at kids—and then colour matched to Robbie’s gown.
The shade’s recipe is below. In addition, Goldstein buttered up Robbie’s hands with a creamy array of the French house’s luxury skincare.
MARGOT ROBBIE JELLY PINK MANICURE RECIPE:
4 drops of CHANEL Le Vernis Skeiuse
1 drop of CHANEL Le Vernis Diva
1 drop of CHANEL Le Vernis Sun Drop. (Editor’s note: this shade isn’t available, so we’ve substituted for a similar hue: CHANEL Le Vernis Passe-Muraille)
3 drops CHANEL Le Top Coat
Top with 2 coats of CHANEL Le Gel Top Coat for shine and protection.
