Pamper Your Skin With Augustinus Bader’s The Skin Infusion

No matter how much we complain about Singapore’s humidity, one of the best things about being in a country where the weather is perpetually hot and humid is that our skin doesn’t suffer from the yoyo effects of drastic changes in climate. But what happens to our skin when we travel? Cold or dry environments tend to wreak havoc on our skin, especially if we’re constantly going back and forth between different climate types. And don’t even get me started on the dryness we experience on flights.

Enter The Skin Infusion from Augustinus Bader. Powered by Advanced TFC8, The Skin Infusion is a four-week intensive treatment that works to promote cellular renewal, and delivers instant hydration. Think of it as a bootcamp for your complexion. If you’re unfamiliar, TFC8 is the brand’s proprietary technology that has been developed to supercharge the skin with all-around goodies, that will strengthen your skin barrier and ensure that it can survive even the roughest of climates. One of the key strengths of The Skin Infusion, though? That it’s a truly clean skincare product. It contains no preservatives, which means maximum possible efficacy, so even those who suffer from sensitive or irritated skin can enjoy the healing powers of the Advanced TFC8.

Augustinus Bader’s The Skin Infusion ($640) will be available exclusively at the Augustinus Bader Counter at Takashimaya Department Store. Enjoy a skin consultation at the counter before purchasing, appointments can be made here.

Sisley’s Supremÿa At Night The Supreme Anti-Aging Eye Cream

Indulge in a nourishing self-care routine at nighttime with Sisley’s new Supremÿa At Night The Supreme Anti-Aging Eye Cream. Powered with the brand’s special Fundamental Regeneration Complex, the eye cream is enhanced to fix nine different eye-area concerns. Not all dark circles are created equal, and there could be a wide range of causes that lead to tired-looking eyes. This ageing-defying eye cream allows these concerns to be whittled down, cutting down on unwanted dullness, fine lines and puffiness.

By now, we all know that the eye area requires a bit more TLC compared to the rest of our skin, since the skin around our eyes is the thinnest, and therefore the most vulnerable. To rejuvenate the area, the eye cream from Sisley’s Supremÿa range comes with a very unique guasha tool. This tiny but mighty zamak massage tool has been designed to improve the efficacy of the eye cream while providing you with an enriching, relaxing experience to end your day. After gently spreading the lightweight product around your eyes, spend a few minutes gently pressing the tool in lifting motions around the outermost corner of the eyes, and the around the eye socket.

The Sisley Supremÿa Anti-Aging Eye Cream and Eye Massager Tool duo will be available at $430, and the refill at $350 from 1 September 2024.

Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Blurring Serum Blush

We love a multi-tasking product that can do it all. And as we embrace blush blindness (thanks to Miss Sabrina Carpenter), Anastasia Beverly Hills has just launched its new Blurring Serum Blush. Blurring the lines between skincare and makeup, the liquid formula combines the reparative, anti-inflammatory qualities of niacinamide with the brightening functions of pomegranate peel extract to give your lips that extra oomph.

The lightweight liquid formula blends quickly into the skin, with the bright pigment clinging to your complexion for a vivid look that’s buildable and breathable. The Blurring Serum Blushes are available in five shades, from a cool-toned baby pink to a deep plum shade. Our pick of the lineup is the shade Peach. Perfect for a broad range of skin tones, Peach is a true bright-peach shade that gives you a natural, healthy glow-from-within type of blush.

Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Blurring Serum Blush ($50) is exclusively available on Sephora.sg and in-stores.

The Rejuvenating Night Cream From La Mer

One of the skincare world’s most trusted brands, La Mer, has just launched its new Rejuvenating Night Cream. Promising to treat and reduce eight different visible signs of ageing, the night cream is thick—but not cloying on the skin, trust me. It settles into the skin beautifully and quickly, so you don’t need to worry about the product smearing all over your pillow as you get your beauty sleep.

The Rejuvenating Night Cream contains the brand’s signature Miracle Broth™, and the all-new MRA-3™, a sea-borne complex that serves to boost your skin’s healing and renewal processes. This duo is a match made in heaven—just one night and you’ll already be able to see a difference in the fine lines across your temple, and added plumpness to the skin.

La Mer’s Rejuvenating Night Cream can be purchased for $425 (30ml), $750 (60ml) and $1,120 (100ml).

Kiehl’s Calendula Café

If you’re a Kiehl’s girl, surely calendula is a familiar ingredient. A favourite of the American cosmetics company, the flower helps with inflammation, balances uneven skin tone and even contains antioxidants that can protect your skin from external stressors. As the hero component of many Kiehl’s skincare products, the brand is giving you the chance to explore its key Calendula products for yourself.

From now till 25 August, head over to Rise Bakehouse at TripleOne Somerset. Awash in an orange dream, the café has been transformed into a calendula house, carrying some of Kiehl’s best calendula goodies, including the Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner and the new Calendula Skin-Soothing & Stabilising Emulsion. Not only will you be able to try and purchase Kiehl’s products right from the café, you can also dig into Kiehl’s-exclusive menu items from Rise. With a cheesecake and tea cream latte on the menu, you can give your stomach a treat before heading home with some treats for your skin.

TAKAMI’s Launch In Singapore

Before K-beauty, there was J-beauty. Intentional and delicate, Japanese beauty is rooted in the details. From the way you wash your face, to the pressure you’re using to apply products to your skin, no detail is to be overlooked. Those were my biggest takeaways from Takami’s launch. The Japanese brand has just debuted in Singapore, which means its Skinpeel Essence is also finally available for those residing in Singapore.

Founded by Dr Hiroshi Takami, who also founded Takami Clinic in 1999, Takami is brand that, at its core, believes in life-long skincare habits that are minimal but highly effective. Its products are grounded in clinical proof, and one such product is the Skinpeel Essence. Almost water-like in consistency, this essence from Takami targets the delicate 0.2mm topmost layer of the skin, sinking immediately into the skincare for the most robust results. The essence, with just 13 ingredients, is the perfect step zero for any skincare routine—even for those with sensitive complexions.

The Takami Skinpeel Essence, $75 (30ml), along with the rest of the Takami skincare range, will be available in selected Sephora stores (ION, Plaza Singapura, Takashimaya, VivoCity & Westgate) and online on 22 August 2024.

NatureLab Tokyo Also Launches Locally

From nourishing haircare products to the best of J-beauty, here are the new beauty finds to shop in August

With the erratic weather in Singapore these days, I’ve started to notice that my hair and my scalp are suffering. From a buildup of excess oils on the scalp to redness and inflammation, it can be quite frustrating when your hair just doesn’t look right. It’s been reported that having good hair can allow us to feel calmer and more positive, BTW. So when it comes to the hair, I don’t kid around.

So when I encountered NatureLab Tokyo, I was more than excited to try out the hair and scalp care brand’s botanical-focused products. To rid the scalp of dead skin cells and other impurities, the label’s Perfect Clean Clarifying Scalp Scrub is the one to reach for. A scrub and shampoo rolled into a single product, let your roots finally breathe when you use this multi-tasking product once or twice a week. The Perfect Clean Clarifying Scalp Scrub not only allows your hair to grow healthy, strong and shiny by removing years of product and oil buildup, but also rebalances your scalp’s biome.

From August 19–25, visit the VivoCity Atrium to check out NatureLab Tokyo’s products.

The Body Shop’s New Ginger Haircare Range

From nourishing haircare products to the best of J-beauty, here are the new beauty finds to shop in August

I recently travelled to Taiwan, and if you’ve never visited, it’s a gorgeous place for a vacation. Unfortunately for me though, summers in Taiwan are blazing, which means I was sweating it out day in and day out. I had to wash my hair every single day—criminal, I know—but it also allowed me to try out the new Ginger haircare range from The Body Shop.

Full of natural ginger essential oil and imbued with birch bark extract, the Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo was a lifesaver. With each wash, I could feel my scalp being renewed and cleared of the sweat and grime from the day. I followed up with the matching conditioner to make sure my ends weren’t dehydrated, then went on to apply the Ginger Scalp Serum. This little serum helps to improve hair density and reduce hair fall—something that I had been struggling with, with the daily washes. If you’re a little averse to ginger, fret not, the products do not smell strongly of ginger. Rather, you’re left with a pleasant, fresh fragrance on your hair.

For the month of August, you can head to Taiwanese bubble tea shop KEBUKE at Taste Orchard to try out The Body Shop’s Ginger Haircare range for yourself. Then sip on the refreshing Ginger Rizz, a black tea drink specially crafted for this collaboration.

Dior Beauty’s Plan de Paris Collection

Inspired by an archival silk scarf from the the 1950s, Dior is celebrating the French capital this season with a new makeup collection. The Plan de Paris Collection pays homage to Paris, the city in which Monsieur Dior founded his couture house. A line drawing of a map of Paris cloaks lipstick cases, cushion foundations and even pouches designed to contain eyeshadow palettes, so you can carry a piece of Paris with you wherever you go. Even the shades of nail polishes, lippies and shadows are inspired by iconic landmarks in the City of Love.

The Plan de Paris Collection is now available at all Dior Beauty Boutiques and Counters, and on the Dior Beauty Online Boutique.
