We’re officially in the last quarter of 2024, and with that comes the arrival of colder weather in Singapore. Granted, we may not experience winter or even sub 20ºC temperatures, but the winds are definitely shifting. It’s undeniable, erratic weather often has big implications on our skin. To accommodate the changing climate—hello rainy October!—, we’ve rounded some of the coolest new beauty launches for this month.
From renewed formulations of classic skincare treats to exciting new fragrance launches right here in town, here’s what you need to keep a look out for in the beauty realm this October.
Sulwhasoo’s Renewed Concentrated Ginseng Line
A leading brand in the K-beauty market is Sulwhasoo, a label beloved for its tried-and-true formulations as well as its luxe packaging. The brand has now reformulated its cult-favourite Concentrated Ginseng range, with greater efficacy and a new scent. The star product of the line that you have to get your hands on is the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewal Cream—which now comes in both regular and rich formulations—which contains more Ginsenomics™, compared to its predecessors. If you’re unfamiliar, Ginsenomics™ helps to tackle 18 key signs of ageing, like dullness and fine lines. Plus, the cream now comes with a lighter fragrance. The old ginseng root scent has been replaced by a light ginseng flower fragrance, which lends a soft touch to the rich cream.

Creed Fragrances’s Amber Universe
Niche perfume house Creed has launched two new fragrances that will take you straight into the fall mood, as part of the brand’s Amber Universe. The House of Creed debuts Delphinus and Centaurus, two smoky, amber scents that are inspired by the brightest stars in the universe. Both fragrances share a woody and leathery body as well as bourbon vanilla notes from Madagascar, but each offers a different olfactory experience. Delphinus opens with incense and almond, before revealing heart notes of orris butter and orchid. Centaurus, on the other hand, has a fuller body, with middle notes of jasmine patchouli and sandalwood, after the top notes of cardamom, cinnamon and tobacco fade away.
The Amber Universe fragrances are available at Creed Boutiques, retailers and online.
Clé de Peau Beauté’s Newly Reformulated Serum
Japanese skincare brand Clé de Peau Beauté has launched its reformulated The Serum. The fourth iteration of the product, which launched originally in 2013, sees the addition of a prime ingredient: the Radiant Lily Concentrate. This precious ingredient, harvested in southern France, supports skin intelligence and boosts the skin’s natural moisture barriers. Lemon myrtle extract, which is also a key element in the brand’s new serum, combats signs of ageing and even has anti-inflammatory properties.
Clé de Peau Beauté’s newly reformulated The Serum is available in-stores and online at sephora.com.
Helena Rubinstein’s New Flagship Store in ION
Heritage skincare label Helena Rubinstein has just opened its new flagship store—the first in Southeast Asia, by the way—at ION Orchard. Founded in 1902, the beauty brand, beloved by megastar Michelle Yeoh and Fala Chen, promises to heal and repair the skin by improving firmness and elasticity for a more youthful complexion. At the new flagship space in ION, the brand introduces its three key product lines—Replasty, Powercell and Prodigy Cellglow—as well as its exclusive facial cabin. There, you can enjoy 60- or 90-minute facials by the experts on site, where you’ll also be able to learn how to properly massage your face for maximum product efficacy. If you’re short on time, you can also experience a skin assessment or hand massage in the store, where you can truly test out the Helena Rubinstein goodies before settling on a purchase.
The Helena Rubinstein flagship store is located at ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn, #B1-15, Singapore 238801.
