For centuries, turquoise has mesmerised the world with its luminous hue—a colour caught between sky and sea. From the ancient Egyptians, who saw in it a symbol of renewal, to the Aztecs, who revered it as the “stone of the gods,” turquoise has always carried an aura of mystery and meaning.

At Piaget, that fascination found its modern expression in the 1960s, when the maison began pairing ornamental stone dials with ultra-thin movements. The result was revolutionary: watches that were as much art as timekeeping—infused with colour, personality, and joy.

This year, Piaget rekindles that radiant legacy with a new constellation of turquoise marvels—the Sixtie, Essentia, Swinging Sautoirs, and Sunlight jewellery collections. Together, they form a vivid ode to the maison’s dual mastery of watchmaking and jewellery: a celebration of fluid form, striking colour, and unapologetic glamour.

The new Sixtie jewellery watch joins the line that debuted earlier this year, adding a burst of turquoise brilliance to Piaget’s repertoire. Its trapezoidal dial—stripped of indexes—glows with uninterrupted intensity, framed by a gadrooned bezel that nods to the maison’s cult Andy Warhol watch. The supple, five-row pink gold bracelet mirrors the dial’s soft curves, wrapping around the wrist with liquid ease. When we first saw it up close at Piaget’s Sixtie soirée in Singapore, the effect was magnetic: turquoise that seemed to glow from within, alive with light.

Then there’s Essentia, an ode to organic beauty. The timepiece’s irregular silhouette, alive with soft curves, encircles a turquoise dial that shimmers with quiet character. Around it, diamonds trace a delicate halo, while the undulating gold bracelet wraps the wrist like a talisman—a masterclass in Piaget’s chainmaking artistry.

With the Sixtie Swinging Sautoirs, Piaget transforms time into performance art. Picture turquoise trapezoid dials suspended in cascades of hand-twisted gold, tassels glimmering with diamonds as they sway with every gesture. It’s meticulous craftsmanship made to move—a kinetic expression of glamour that blurs the boundaries between jewellery and watch, wrist and body. This is the spirit of Yves Piaget’s jet-set era, reimagined for today.

Then comes the Sunlight collection, where turquoise, chrysoprase, and diamonds unite in compositions that celebrate Piaget’s signature radiance.

The Sunlight toi-et-moi ring in rose gold is pure exuberance—set with 227 diamonds, turquoises, and chrysoprases that play with volume and asymmetry. Its generous curves and vibrant contrasts embody Piaget’s love for movement and colour.

The Sunlight ring, bracelet, and bangle extend that same vocabulary of radiance. The ring’s five turquoise cabochons bloom against a halo of diamonds; the bracelet dazzles with 368 diamonds, turquoises, and chrysoprases arranged in rhythmic flow; while the bangle refines the concept with ten turquoise stones framed by 176 diamonds—sleek, sculptural, and luminous.

Finally, the Sunlight pendant distils the collection’s spirit into one radiant gesture: a 15-carat turquoise cabochon surrounded by diamond-paved sunrays, glowing with Piaget’s signature warmth.

Across these turquoise creations, Piaget reaffirms its talent for turning time into emotion. Each dial, each link, each glint of gold tells a story of heritage reborn with modern confidence. In the hands of the maison’s artisans at the Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire, colour and form are not mere decoration—they’re declarations of joy.
