The credits just rolled on the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, and there’s much to discuss. First-time winners, returning Hollywood legends, tear-jerking speeches—but first, could we hear a little commotion for the dresses?
While the Primetime Emmy’s are held well before the traditional spring awards season, they still offer Hollywood’s finest a golden opportunity to bring their style A-game. Emmy’s fashion tends to be the quieter cousin of Oscars glam and film festival drama, but it’s no less noteworthy. Far from boring, the quieter style codes of the Emmy’s red carpet allow our favourite A-listers to channel their natural charisma in tried-and-tested favourites.
Anna Sawai was statuesque as ever in Giorgio Armani Privé, while Jenna Ortega continued her avant-garde red carpet streak with a daring bejewelled top. For Sydney Sweeney, Selena Gomez, and Hunter Schafer, red proved a popular choice, with all three actresses opting for scarlet gowns. While a red gown at an awards show is about as groundbreaking as florals for spring, each star imbued their look with a unique charm that kept it fresh.
The standout Emmy’s fashion moment, however, goes to Thailand’s own Lisa. The Blackpink singer didn’t clinch a nomination for this year’s awards, instead showing support for her White Lotus co-stars at the awards show. But she did manage to steal the show regardless in an ethereal pink Lever Couture creation. We have a feeling this outfit will go down as one of Lisa’s most iconic style moments.
Read on to get a closer look at the celebrities who made a fashion statement on the Emmy’s 2025 red carpet.
Lisa In Custom Lever Couture

Lisa’s custom Lever Couture gown was a fairytale fantasy brought to life, with overlapping ribbons of bubblegum-pink mesh fabric creating an ethereal, voluminous effect. She leaned into the princess glam of the look by accessorising it with bedazzled pink Miss Z pumps from Christian Louboutin and a Bvlgari Serpenti choker. There was likely also a deeper symbolism underpinning the outfit. The third season of The White Lotus, in which Lisa played hotel staff member Mook, was heavy on themes of Thai spirituality and mythology, and it’s hard to ignore how closely the petal-like layers of this look resemble the pink lotus, a Thai symbol of divine enlightenment.
Anna Sawai In Giorgio Armani Privé

This Armani Privé ensemble is yet another entry in Anna Sawai’s lookbook of striking and understated red carpet looks. The black silk gown is overlaid with shimmering, crystal-embroidered tulle, and Sawai subtly accessorises the look with a Cartier Géométrie & Contrastes ring and Agrafe earrings. Put together by seasoned celebrity stylist Karla Welch, the look sticks to Sawai’s preferred classic silhouettes while adding a touch of bejewelled glam.
Sydney Sweeney In Custom Oscar De La Renta

Sydney Sweeney’s take on red went the way of the classic Hollywood bombshell in a satin Oscar de la Renta number. While Sweeney kept the hair and makeup subtle, the gown’s bright hue and plunging neckline—not to mention the 175 carats of Lorraine Schwartz jewellery—kept the look feeling far from formulaic.
Selena Gomez In Louis Vuitton With Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez’s custom Louis Vuitton dress was in a vivid, orange-toned red that pops off the screen. Next to fiancé Benny Blanco, she cut a statuesque figure, with the one-shoulder neckline and sweeping scarf train adding chic touches to the minimalist silhouette.
Hunter Schafer In Alexander McQueen

Hunter Schafer opted for a deeper-toned, magenta McQueen dress with subtle velvet detailing around the hips from the brand’s Fall 2025 collection. Originally shown on the runway under a voluminous fur coat, Schafer went sans outerwear, letting the look’s simplicity speak for itself.
Jenna Ortega In Givenchy

Jenna Ortega’s recent spate of red carpet looks has been bold, edgy, and avant-garde, and this Emmy’s look is no different. Ortega debuted bleached blonde eyebrows on the Wednesday Season 2 red carpet, and has been embracing the alien glam of the beauty trend since. This Givenchy ensemble pairs a risqué, jewel-encrusted top with a minimalist black skirt to dazzling effect.
Bowen Yang

As the only Asian acting nominee at the Emmys this year, Bowen Yang carried the weight of representation for the night—but the comedian and Saturday Night Live star kept the vibe light and simple with a black and white look accessorised with a cummerbund.
Tayme Thapthimthong

Tayme Thapthimthong opted for a less show-stopping look than his White Lotus co-star Lisa, nevertheless looking quietly elegant in a black satin tuxedo by Brooks Brothers.
Pedro Pascal

Nominated for his role as Joel in The Last of Us, Pedro Pascal looked characteristically dapper in a tailored, all-white Celine suit. While the Fantastic Four actor didn’t manage to snag an award, losing out to The Pitt’s Noah Wyle, he undoubtedly stole hearts on the red carpet in this chic ensemble.
