What’s more: Italian Hands includes a foreword written by Oscar award-winning actress Michelle Yeoh, who shares Tod’s admiration for craft, refinement and culture. In the book, Yeoh recognises the importance of craft as a bridge between the past and future, writing, “The craftsman’s hands are a necessary contrast to the speed of our digital age. While artificial intelligence can produce countless objects, no algorithm can ever replicate the beauty of work done with heart and commitment.”
