How time flies… It’s December 2024! Our resident spirituality and holistic wellness advisor, Kelly Lightworker is here to help shine some light on this month’s energies, with an overview of notable astrological aspects and a one-card draw for each zodiac sign.
The month begins with an optimistic new moon in adventurous Sagittarius on 1 December. If you haven’t planned how you’ll be celebrating the festive season yet, now is a great time to start! Speaking of great times, 6 December is the date to watch: the Sun conjuncts Mercury retrograde, creating conducive conditions to review a proposal, follow up with a prospect, and remind the world that you are brilliant. Make hay while the sun shines, though: in less than 24 hours, the Mars retrograde begins on 7 December and will last until 23 February 2025. Mars rules conquests and governs energy levels. Keep an especially close eye on new proposals, business ventures, contracts and the like: these could meet with unexpected resistance. Also on 7 December, Venus, planetary ruler of love, beauty and wealth, enters cool Aquarius and conjuncts intense Pluto. This is a good day to maintain the status quo; attempts at initiating something new could lead to unexpectedly dramatic consequences.
On 8 December, Neptune, the planet of creativity, stations direct after months of retrograde: we can all start to dream big again. The following week gets exciting: a full moon in Gemini could bring a cherished plan to fruition on 15 December, whilst 16 December marks the date when Mercury, planetary ruler of communication and thought, stations direct. Previous issues with tech, travel and communications could become less challenging, or even vanish altogether.
On 21 December, the Sun enters earthy Capricorn and rings in a festive mood for us all! And so we send off 2024 with a new moon, also in Capricorn, on 31 December. The contemplative, yet ambitious energies of this new moon put us in the perfect headspace to greet the new year. New year, new you: ready to rule the world in 2025, darlings?
