Onitsuka Tiger and Patou have teamed up for a collection that is now on everyone’s holiday wishlists.
What’s the occasion? Well, both brands are marking milestones this year. The Japanese label Onitsuka Tiger has been celebrating its 75th anniversary with a series of launches and events all year, while Patou—the French fashion house that has lately been worn by Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande—is turning 110 years old.
Naturally, the collaboration combines the design signatures and heritage of both brands, resulting in a range of clothing pieces and shoes that are fun, feminine, and very stylish. The stars of the collection, of course, are the shoes.
Onitsuka Tiger’s famous Mexico 66 sneakers have been reimagined with Patou’s grosgrain ribbon, seen along the Onitsuka Tiger Stripes that adorn the side of the shoes. Patou’s signature pink hue is splashed across the shoe styles, including the Mexico Rinkan suede boots and the Mexico 66 Ballerina shoes. The latter, which feature double straps, are the most covetable pieces of the collection, as far as the coquette-core girls are concerned.
But that’s not to say that the Onitsuka Tiger x Patou collection is solely for the girls: both the shoes and the clothes are unisex. For the latter category, you’ll find hoodies with ribbon detailing, contrast-trim T-shirts, and cropped tees with ruffled sleeves, all offered in black, white and the same soft pink seen on the shoes. To complete the look, there are also accessories like beanies and socks to choose from.
The limited-edition styles are also adorned with the collaboration’s logo, featuring a tiger motif and the Patou logo.
Discover the Onitsuka Tiger x Patou collection, which launches on 20 November at Onitsuka Tiger stores in Takashimaya and Raffles City, as well as online. Footwear styles from the collection are also available at Onitsuka Tiger’s stores in Jewel Changi Airport and VivoCity. Below, take a closer look at our favourite pieces from the collaboration.
