They say you never forget your first fashion show, and luckily for Gen Z chanteuse Laufey, hers just happened to be Chanel’s magnificent show at Paris Fashion Week. It was a pretty major moment: the occasion marked the first time that the French brand returned to the Grand Palais, long the site of its fantastical ready-to-wear presentations under their late creative director Karl Lagerfeld, and the light-filled space was the perfect setting for the Spring/Summer 2025 show, which was dedicated to lightness, freedom and femininity.
For her first front row experience at Chanel, the Icelandic musician dressed in a pale jade green tweed set with delicate tweed flowers and tulle along the collar. And to complement her look, she played it soft and sweet with her makeup. Pre-makeup, the singer used Chanel Beauty’s Sublimage La Crème Texture Suprême to prime and prep her skin. For the base, she kept it light and natural, using Chanel Beauty Ultra Le Teint (BD11) to bring out a fresh glow, before accenting her cheeks with the Chanel Beauty Joues Contraste Intense Rose Ardent for a healthy, rosy blush.
Her soulful eyes were brought out to their best using a combination of Chanel Beauty’s Le Volume de Chanel N°10 Noir to lengthen the lashes, Signature de Chanel N°10 Noir to define her eye shape with a subtle winged tip, and her brows were kept natural using the Stylo Sourcils Haute Précision N°158 Brun Profond.
To bring a full, sensual look to her lips, Laufey applied a dash of the Chanel Beauty 31 Le Rouge Matte Lipstick N°13 Rouge Jersey and of course, keeping Coco Chanel’s adage in mind—“No elegance is possible without perfume. It is the unseen, unforgettable, ultimate accessory”—the singer applied a healthy spritz of the soon-to-be-released Twist & Spray on chain N°5 EDP to finish her Chanel-ready look.
