May truly shines as the most exciting month for the fashion world, bringing not just one but two extravagant red carpet affairs. Following the Met Gala 2024, the spotlight now shifts from the bustling city of New York to the charming coastal town of the French Riviera. The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival is finally upon us, bringing a legion of the brightest stars all dolled up in true Hollywood glamour to celebrate this year’s best in international cinema.

The two-week film festival will debut some of the buzziest movies of the year which includes action adventure film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2023) starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth. From Oscar-winner Yorgos Lanthimos comes a new dark comedy film, Kind of Kindness (2023) featuring Emma Watson. Adding to the excitement, Selena Gomez will make a grand return to the acting scene in crime comedy film Emilia Perez (2023).

As we eagerly await the announcement of which film will take home the Palme D’or grand prize, let’s direct our focus to the glamorous fashion moments at the film festival. Amidst the sea of celebrities, Anya Taylor-Joy has been the talk of the town for her show-stopping on and off-duty ensembles. Ahead of the premiere of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2023), the Hollywood actress served not just one but three street style looks that left us buzzing with excitement for the main event. And just as we had expected, she looked stunning on the red carpet dressed in a custom Dior tulle ballgown designed by the one and only Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Taylor-Joy looked completely ethereal in a sheer white strapless gown embellished with flowers from Jacquemus‘s Le Marriage collection. She was spotted wearing another oversized woven hat, this time tied at the neck with a bow. Looks like wide-brimmed sun hats are going to be all the rage this summer, all thanks to the Hollywood actress.
