At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, Content Creator Aimi Suraya (@arissathegreat) shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the Shape Tape Concealer ($47) from Tarte Cosmetics. It was the best concealer ever, especially for those who have dark circles! I have had these concealers for many years and can’t find a better product than this.
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was the Laura Mercier Real Flawless Foundation ($94). I surrendered to the FOMO after watching TikTok reviews about the product. My verdict is that it’s an alright product but you don’t really need it if you already have other foundations.
The last beauty product I bought was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Velvet in the shade Pure Hollywood ($42). It feels lightweight and velvety. Their lipstick range is leaning towards the nude/warmer tones so that’s a plus for me.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was Pat McGrath’s porcelain doll makeup looks for the Maison Margiela fashion show. That really inspired me to delve into creative makeup!
The last beauty product I bought again was the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I use this concealer religiously because it’s that good.
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was a hydrating facial session. My skin is on the dry side, so I really needed it!
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was Huda Beauty’s 1 Coat Wow! Extra Volumizing And Lifting Mascara ($38)! My lashes went from nonexistent to lengthy and voluminous. I stan Huda Beauty for this!
The last beauty products I gifted someone was L’Occitane body care products. I enjoy gifting people presents, especially those related to beauty products!
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was the Tarte Cosmetics Blush Tape™ Liquid Blush ($57). It gives off a very nice dewy and glowy finish on the skin. I no longer wear highlighter when I have it on.
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was how to properly apply setting powder with a powder puff. I just tried this technique late last year and had to share it with my friend. It’s life-changing because the pointy end of the powder puff allows you to blend the powder with precision.
