At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, content creator & model Kaarthini Kay (@Kaarthini) shares some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the Silkygirl X-Treme Brush Sharp Liner (MYR27.90, about SGD$8). I also use this to create some fake freckles as its tip tip is very sharp so the freckles don’t seem too fake.
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried was Naturie’s Hatomugi Skin Conditioner ($10.90)! It’s everything it claims to be and I am so glad to have discovered this trend from TikTok.
The last beauty product I bought was the Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara ($29.28). I’ve been only using this mascara for the past three years (literally) and I plan on continuing this streak.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was a makeup look done on Jasmin Tookes by Leah Darcy (@leahdarcymakeup). Her face itself is beyond ethereal and the look on her made her a 1,000 times better. It’s one of those looks where your beauty is enhanced and not adjusted.
The last beauty product I bought again was Anastasia Beverly Hills’s Lip Liner in Malt ($33). I don’t go anywhere without it and it’s the perfect brown for my dual-tone lips ~
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was the GEESO Electronic Facial Guasha. It’s from Shopee and it’s been so helpful in depuffing my face, especially in the morning before a shoot.
The last beauty product I made a holy grail was the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint ($84) in shade 12. I love it so much that I don’t use any foundation anymore because of it. It’s magic in a bottle.
The last beauty product I gifted someone was Chuck’s Lucky Lip Jelly in Acai ($16)! It’s my go-to and I’ve literally made it into a keychain so that I’ll always have it with me. It’s almost my responsibility to share it around.
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was the Sephora Collection Setting Spray ($25). I take the train a lot these days so I don’t have much time for touch-ups. I kid you not when I say that my makeup didn’t move an inch for six hours after using it!
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was underpainting! It makes your makeup look more cohesive and harmonious. It can seem a little intimidating at first when applying but with a good blending brush, it’ll perfect.
