At GRAZIA Singapore HQ, the old excites us as much as the new and in this weekly column, we ask our fellow friends, industry-goers and beauty aficionados about the last thing they loved be it trends, products, or even the image they looked at when it came to inspiring themselves.
Here, digital creator Alverina Wijaya (@aloebella) lists down some of her lasts.
The last beauty product I finished was the FEM Fortify Shampoo ($50) from PHS Hair Science. I had some dandruff due to a dry scalp, so I changed my previous shampoo to this one, and it worked really well in rehabilitating my scalp.
The last viral makeup/skincare trend I tried wasn’t a viral one as I am someone who doesn’t really follow them. However, when it comes to skincare gadgets, I’m always obsessed.
Recently, I tried the AMIRO R1 ($429), which Ah Sa from Twins showcased tightening her skin instantly after use. It does work and creates a V-line along your jawline.
The last beauty product I bought was the Dior Le Baume ($88) which is a 3-in-1 product. It’s so convenient! My skin is always dry around my hands, ankles, neck, and lips.
I’m glad that Dior made a product that works for me.
The last beauty product I bought again was Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel-Creme Synchronized Multi-Recovery ($123) which I always repurchase. It’s the only eye product that keeps my dark under-eye circles under control.
The last beauty product I made my holy grail was the 111Skin Anti-Blemish Bio Cellulose Facial Mask ($175). It’s a lifesaver! Just use it a few days before any shoot or important event. It clears blemishes and calms redness.
The results aren’t instant but within four to five days, you’ll see that the blemishes on your face have cleared up.
The last beauty product I gifted someone was the Dior Backstage Eye Palette ($86) to my mom for Mother’s Day. I noticed her eyeshadow palette was well-used, so I asked her which brand she would like, and she chose Dior!
The last beauty product that truly impressed me was Clé de Peau Beauté’s UV Protective Cream SPF 50+ ($175). Most sunscreens block red light, but Clé de Peau has invented a technology that allows red light to go through the skin and absorb it, while still offering protection against UV rays.
PS: Red light helps to promote collagen production!
The last beauty indulgence I treated myself to was a Dior Facial Treatment. I love their back massage; it’s always spot-on. Unfortunately, they will be discontinuing the back massage in their facial treatments when they launch their new menu next month or in July.
The last image I looked at for beauty inspiration was from Little Red Book which I find myself browsing through for beauty inspiration these days. There are plenty of them! The last image I was looking at was for a hair dye suitable for my skin tone.
The last makeup/skincare trick I taught someone was to put on a daily mask after showering. It keeps the skin hydrated and reduces skin problems like eczema, redness, and large pores in the long run.
