Orm Kornnaphat might still be a newer name for some, but chances are you’ve already come across her work. Most viewers will recognise Orm from her breakout series The Secret of Us, along with her co-star Lingling Kwong. While the Girls’ Love (GL) series was a major turning point in her career, Orm has been flexing her acting muscles in both television and film since 2019. As our June/July GRAZIA Singapore cover star, it only felt right to take a closer look at her on-screen journey. For those wanting to get acquainted with the talented Thai actress, here’s where to start with Orm Kornnaphat on screen.

The Series That Started It All

If you want to see Orm Kornnaphat in one of her earliest roles, Hotel Stars is a solid starting point. The series follows ten university trainees competing for just two permanent positions at the luxurious LP Paradise Hotel. The internship programme involves rotating through kitchen, housekeeping, and front desk departments under intense pressure. Orm plays Nook, a focused and observant intern who’s highly passionate about the hospitality industry. Throughout the series, she has a long-running rivalry with fellow trainee Phong, which stemmed from their school days. Hotel Stars was Orm’s first Channel 3 production, and as it turns out, the start of her becoming one of the network’s most recognisable young stars.

The Series That Was A Little Unexpected

Before she became known for romance dramas, Orm had a supporting role in the 2021 action-thriller Game of Outlaws. The series centres on two sisters who join a special police unit to avenge their father’s murder, only to find themselves on opposite sides of the law. Amid the crime syndicates, undercover operations, and family betrayals, Orm appears as Anya Rueangsuradecha, a mafia heiress who was raised in poverty before being thrust back into the world of wealth and organised crime. Anya is a beloved character in Orm’s fandom, bringing a welcome dose of personality to the series with her sharp tongue and charm. It’s a smaller role, but one that proves Orm could hold her own before leading-lady status came calling.

The Series That Put Her On The Map

It wouldn’t be an Orm Kornnaphat TV guide without including The Secret of Us. Channel 3’s sapphic romance is undoubtedly the role that shot Orm to international fame and recognition. Starring opposite Lingling Kwong, Orm plays Earn, a cheerful aspiring actress who unexpectedly reunites with her ex-girlfriend Dr. Fahlada years after a painful breakup. Unfortunately for Fahlada, Earn has no intention of disappearing a second time, embarking on a relentless mission to win back her trust and explain the circumstances behind their split. The show was a landmark GL production for Channel 3 and we have The Secret of Us to thank for LingOrm.

The Series That Brings LingOrm Back Again

We just can’t seem to get enough of LingOrm—and clearly, neither can anyone else. Only You reunites Orm Kornnaphat and Lingling Kwong in a GL action-romance that starts all the way back in their school days, where Ayla (Kornnaphat) falls for Tawan (Kwong) after being rescued during a chance encounter. Years later, Ayla has become a global pop star dealing with the toils of fame, while Tawan has become a highly trained bodyguard running elite security operations. When they’re unexpectedly thrown back into each other’s lives, Ayla wastes no time revisiting what was left unsaid. If you fell in love with LingOrm the first time, this one’s worth a watch.

The Film That Brings Her To The Big Screen

Orm’s big-screen debut has been a long time coming. While she’s had roles in Schizophrenia, 3 A.M., and the short film Still Love with her mother, Will You Marry Monk? was her first feature film lead. Orm plays Aom, the younger sister of a Thai monk named Luang Pi Pae. When Aom reveals she’s getting married in Japan, her brother sets off for the wedding. What starts out as a family obligation turns into cross-cultural chaos when he discovers that his future brother-in-law is a former Yakuza with a hidden past. The 2025 romantic comedy is a nice addition to the actress’ repertoire, and a fun change of pace from her more dramatic work.
